<br />Rip Bensen, 1126 Hearst Drive, stated he is vice president of the ottinger Ranch <br />Homeowners' Association. He was personally opposed to any dev lopment in the area. He <br />addressed traffic issues and put up an overlay on the screen. He V rther expressed concerns <br />that traffic along Hearst Drive would be extremely heavy due first construction traffic, and <br />then residential and golfer traffic. He noted that the homeowners ave agreed that Scheme 5 <br />is the best of the traffic plans, and that the association is willing to meet again with Mr. <br />Fairfield to further discuss the matter. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />William Meisenheimer, 1026 Hearst Drive, expressed concerns a t traffic, fire access, and <br />water. He stated he has the second house from Bernal Avenue. H stressed that no one can <br />predict how much traffic the proposed project will actually genera . He stated he is not a <br />golfer and is generally opposed to the entire project. <br /> <br />Larry Snyder, 1375 Bordeaux Street, stated he is president of the ttinger Homeowners' <br />Association. He stated their primary concern has to do with traffic He noted that over the <br />last nine months, they have met with Mr. Fairfield a good number f times. The Association <br />favors an alternative construction route rather than Hearst Drive to e project; they favor no <br />golf course or golfing range and only 98 homes; that there be traffi mitigation measures <br />such as Alternative 5 as discussed with Mr. Fairfield. They also as ed that both Concord <br />Street and Bordeaux Drive be blocked as they were prior to the ope 'ng of Kottinger Ranch, <br />and felt that this might be something that the adjoining neighborh s might be in favor of. <br />He reiterated that Alternative 5 is the choice for traffic route. He n ted that if there could be <br />golf course with no traffic, the Association would be in favor of it. He stated he would be <br />opposed to an extension of Vineyard A venue and does not want a nd access to the <br />proposed site. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />T.J. Hsu, 1102 Hearst Drive, expressed concern about increased tr fic on Hearst Drive. He <br />did not feel that the residents of Hearst Drive are ready for the traf c that would generate <br />from the golf course. <br /> <br /> <br />Luz M. Coussens, 950 Clinton Place, stated that she strongly oppos s the project. She <br />expressed great concern that the City and Zone 7 does not have eno gh water to support the <br />project without penalizing the existing residents of Pleasanton. She elt that traffic impacts <br />would be great on the adjoining neighborhood. She urged that the mmission and staff <br />look at the big picture and not just keep saying "yes" to developmen. She stated that she <br />moved from the L.A. area because she wanted to get away from big city life; she was <br />concerned that if developments keep ~ing approved that the quality f life for Pleasanton <br />residents will be very much affected in the future. <br /> <br />Randy Mancini, 1288 Concord Street, said he is on the Board of Dir tors for Kottinger <br />Ranch Homeowners' Association. He questioned where traffic such s vendors' trucks, etc. <br />will access the site. Commissioner Wright noted that type of traffic ould probably go down <br />the normal access road as everyone else, but did not feel that there ould be an excessive <br />amount of traffic from those persons.
