<br />,-. <br /> <br />The Commission agreed that it could be beneficial if the Affordable ousing Committee <br />could review the document; at least, they should be made aware of it <br /> <br />Chairman Hovingh stated that he liked the idea of offering incentives as noted by staff. He <br />further questioned Mr. Beougher as to whether the City might give a different tax rate as an <br />incentive. Mr. Beougher said this could not be done. <br /> <br />Chairman Hovingh expressed some concern that the City might not s <br />the General Plan in future years. He felt the City has a very impo <br />affordable housing, but still stay within the General Plan. Add Policy 24.9 - That the City target rehab 'tation funds for older <br />apartment units with controls that are due f r termination; <br /> <br /> <br />o Request that the programs of the Housing Update e amended to include <br />the following: <br /> <br />2. That the City provide assistance in the form of bonds or other <br />means to the owners of apartment complex to assist in the <br />rermancing of their loans on the project in 0 der to extend controls <br />that are due for termination; <br /> <br />3.
