At this time the soundw s are proposed to be six <br />feet tall. <br /> <br />Commissioner Horan stated that he would like to see some picture of the proposed <br />soundwalls; that sketches are not really acceptable to him. He enc uraged the applicant to <br />get pictures of a proposed soundwall so they could be viewed. . Vasquez agreed they <br />would obtain pictures of the soundwall they intend to put up. <br /> <br />Commissioner Horan further discussed the soundwalls with Mr. F theringham and asked if <br />there would be a jogging path. Mr. Fotheringham did not know i there would be enough <br />room for a jogging path or a meandering path, but it can be consi ered. <br /> <br />Commissioner McGuirk called attention to the location of the pro sed park and school site <br />and expressed concern that the location isolates itself from the rest of the city. He felt the <br />houses could be moved back farther from Stoneridge and turned ound somewhat, thus <br />opening up the whole area, as opposed to having houses all along toneridge. Mr. Vasquez <br />noted they are trying not to have individual entries off of Stonerid e which would make <br />individual villages. He felt there was no "sense of tie" with indiv dual entries. <br /> <br />In response to Commissioner Hovingh, Mr. Vasquez said there w uld be parking space along <br />the internal streets of the villages. Mr. Swift commented that str ts would be 36 ft. wide, <br />which allows for adequate parking. <br /> <br />"~ <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright expressed some concern about the gridded indows and felt that all <br />owners would not like gridded windows. Mr. Vasquez said they uld leave that up to the <br />individual owners. Commissioner Wright also expressed concern at material on the <br />driveways be such that oil stains from cars would not show. Mr. Vasquez replied that <br />materials would be used that would not show stains so apparently. <br /> <br />Glenn Hulett, 2201 Martin Avenue, noted that he is talking with evelopers on both sides of <br />his property. He felt the developer of the Hirst project has wor with the neighbors very <br />well and tried to get their input, whereas that has not been the with this project. He <br />indicated that at first they did work with the neighbors, but he fel that what they see tonight <br />has nothing to do with the Stoneridge Specific Plan. He was und r the impression that the <br />Commission and Council had agreed to "feather" the density to k the Mohr/Martin area a <br />rural type atmosphere. He felt a 4,000 sq. lot next to a 7,300 sq ft. lot was not necessarily <br />"feathering." He stated he is not against the project, but has con rns about the buffer zone <br />and the activities that could go on there by kids who are playing d/or partying. He is <br />concerned that his property line will be next to a public park-like area. If the project does <br />go through, he would like some protection from that factor. He so expressed concern that <br />the streets may not be adequate for parking and thought they are narrow.
