<br />Commissioner Hovingh indicated he would favor going with the me kind of program that <br />Mr. Callahan would have had. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED. <br /> <br />Joe Callahan noted there is an essential difference between this pr dect and the two projects <br />Commissioner Hovingh is referring to; the density in the two proj 18 was bumped by 20%, <br />thereby making it economically feasible with the support of the Ci -subidized second <br />mortgages to make that product work. He stated that this is a sin Ie-family detached <br />product; the density cannot be bumped because there is no room do it, so there is no way <br />to make up for fundamental subdivision costs. He advised that it s far more important to <br />maintain the overall affordability of the project and perhaps see if &B will commit to a <br />fust-time buyer's program.
