Oak Tree Farm/Currin Construction <br />Referral from the City Conncil of an application for planned u . development approval <br />to permit the construction of 54 single-family custom homes in addition to the existing <br />home on an approximately 91 acre site located on the west si of Foothill Road, south <br />of Castlewood Country Club at 8015 Foothill Road. Zoning fo the property is PUD <br />(Planned Unit Development) - Rural Density Residential/Low ensity Residential <br />District. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of C PUD-89-17 subject to <br />the conditions of the staff report. Renderings of the project were resented for review. Mr. <br />Swift suggested the Commission closely review the design in reg d to the Overlay District. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hovingh abstained from the discussion because he as absent when the case <br />was previously presented. Commissioner Wright took his positio <br /> <br /> <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED. <br /> <br />Jack Smith, attorney, 23320 Foothill Blvd., Hayward, represented th~ application. He stated <br />that he is requesting approval for 54 lots along with the existing h me. He noted that several <br />letters have been written in support of the plan and felt that peopl are now satisfied with the <br />project. <br /> <br />In response to Commissioner Wright's question, Mr. Smith said h does concur with staff <br />conditions. <br /> <br />Mr. Swift noted that maintenance will be handled by a lighting di 'ct rather than a <br />homeowners association. He also noted that it is 99.9 percent su that infrastructure will be <br />available at the time of construction. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Jerry Dommer, architect, 256 Sutter Street, San Francisco, also r resented the application. <br />He pointed out the various changes that the application has gone rough, noting the <br /> <br />Minute.
