He said he will be ming back with another
plan for review.

Darryl Alexander, 205 Main Street, Pleasanton, spoke on behalf of the owners to the east of
the project or the Hirst project. He addressed Condition 14 which poke of extending the
cul-de-sac through, and did not feel it benefitted either project and elt there was a better
way. This project now shows a secondary access to the north whi is the Chu property.
He noted there are a number of projects that do not have a secon access, ie, Foxbrough
Estates. Mr. Swift explained that the project has only an emergenc secondary access.

Bob Cooper, 3711 Trenery Drive, Pleasanton, said he lives adjace to the proposed project.
He stated he had lived at that location for a good number of years' a 110 year old house.
Through the course of the years, he has attended many public h . gs and has usually been
opposed to the projects presented near his home. However, he ve happy to support the
West View project and feels it will be a good one. He said he had no objections to the
project.

Commissioner Horan discussed with Mr. Alexander his vision of secondary access. Mr.
Alexander said he does not have a plan at present, but felt it might e best to go through the
Chu property.

THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSF.n.

Commissioner Michelotti said she does like the appearance of the ne-story, but felt it could
be left to the discretion of the developer.

vors staff's
r. Swift clarified that
ahem said she

Chairman Mahem raised the question of whether the Commission
recommendation for changing No. 6 and 7 to a single story unit.
this is not a recommendation, but simply a suggestion. Chairman
personally favors the one-story units.

Commissioner Horan said he had some problems with the design 0
property. It seemed to him that the West View project was some
the Chu and Hirst developments.

the access to the
at dependent on access to

Lengthy discussion ensued regarding the access street.

Chairman Mahem pointed out that this would be again discussed a the tentative map stage.

---

Mr. Swift noted that if the Chu property develops, the Commissio and the Council could
require that the discussed street be made available. The Commissi n can mandate that the
Hirst property have the secondary access, including the ability for e City to condemn the

Minute.
