protect the food kept, handled or sold therein from becoming unclean, <br />insanitary, adulterated or contaminated. When no such conditions <br />longer exist, he shall issue his certificate to that effect for the <br />use of applicant in obtaining a license. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6. It shall be the duty of the City Health Officer <br />to examine from time to time all premises in which food is kept-, <br />handled or sold, to determine if any method is used or conditions <br />exist which offer an opportunity for such food to become unclean, <br />insanitary, adulterated or contaminated. <br /> <br /> SECTION 7. If such inspection discloses any ~uch method <br /> <br />or condition he shall direct the person or persons owning or operating <br />said premises to correct said method or condition forthwith. <br /> <br /> SECTION 8; In event said methods and/or conditions are not <br />corrected as soon as is reasonably possible, the City Health Officer <br />may, in addition to any other remedy allowed by law, cite the holder <br />of the license for said business or premises in writing to appear <br />before him at a time and place not less than 5 days after service, <br />to be stated in the notice, to show cause why his license should <br />not be immediately revoked. <br /> <br /> SECTION 9. At the time and place set forth in said cita- <br />tion, the methods and conditions required by the Health Officer to <br />be corrected and the reasons for requiring the correction shall be <br />stated to the licensee and an opportunity a£forded him for private <br />hearing, including cross examination hy the licensee and his counsel. <br />If the City Health Officer finds, as a result of the hearing, that <br />there exists any condition of the premises or method used thereon <br />which offers an opportunity for food kept, handled or sold therein <br />to become unclean, insanitary, adulterated or contaminated, which <br />meghod or conditions the licensee has failed, after notice, to remedy <br />or correct, he shall forthwith suspend the license of such person <br />and premises to do business and the licensee shall thereafter neither <br />keep, handle or sell food nor shall food be kept, handled or sold on <br />said premises until a new license is issued therefor, according to <br /> <br /> <br />
