The applicant shall ensure that fire protection facilities, <br />including all surface roads, fire ydrants, and a water <br />supply capable of furnishing the re uired fire flow shall <br />be installed and serviceable prior 0 and during the time <br />of construction. When alternate me hods of protection are <br />as approved by the Fire chief, th' s requirement may be <br />waived or modified. Proposed alter ative methods of fire <br />protection shall be submitted, in writing, to the Fire <br />Chief. Work on the alternative f re protection methods <br />shall not start without the approva of the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />d. All roads on the site are designa ed as fire apparatus <br />access roads by the Fire Chief and must be maintained in <br />accordance with section 2.01 of the Uniform Fire Code and <br />be accessible at all times from th start of construction <br />until the project is completed. Cu bs must be painted red <br />or "No Parking" signs provided as equired by the vehicle <br />code. <br /> <br />e. Unless otherwise approved by the Fir Chief, no housing may <br />be constructed unless an emergency vehicle access accept- <br />able to the Fire Marshall has be n established. This <br />access shall be maintained at a I times until public <br />improvements are completed and acce ted by the city. <br /> <br />f. All emergency vehicle access (EVA) points are subject to <br />review and approval by the Fire Ch'ef, City Engineer, and <br />Planning Director prior to City Cou cil action on the final <br />map. Gates shall be provided with a Knox Box key access <br />system. <br /> <br />g. The applicant shall post address n merals on the building <br />so as to be plainly visible from a I adjoining streets or <br />driveways during both daylight and night time hours. <br /> <br />h. The development shall meet all requirements of the <br />Pleasanton Fire Code (Chapter 20 24 of the Pleasanton <br />Municipal Code) in effect at th time of issuance of <br />building permits. All townhouses in Areas "A" and "B" <br />shall be sprinklered; the single-f mily units in Area "C" <br />will not be required to be sprinkle ed unless the City Fire <br />Code is amended prior to issuance of building permits to <br />require sprinklers of these units. <br /> <br />16.
