8-12: Fill Placement Procedures

The grading for the subdivision shall be performed as
recommended by the geotechnical and civil engineers. The
developer's engineers shall provide continuous inspection when
subdivision grading operations are being performed in order to
ensure the grading work is being performed properly.

8-13: Excansive Soil: Evaluation

A geotechnical investigation shall be performed on each lot
after subdivision grading is completed and prior to issuing
building permits. The expansion potential of the native
materials and fill on the lot shall be evaluated by the
project geotechnical engineer along with an evaluation of the
subsurface conditions observed during grading. A geotechnical
engineering report shall be issued for each lot or group of
lots with similar subsurface conditions along with
recommendation for selective lot grading and foundation design
and construction. The geotechnical engineer shall provide
foundation design, soil preparation and selective grading
recommendations which are appropriate for the on-site soil and
geologic conditions observed after mass grading has been
completed. All steel pipe shall be coated or have cathodic
protection.

8-14: Excansive Soil: Surface Drainaqe provisions

A. The surface drainage system on each lot shall be designed
by a qualified civil engineer and shall be compatible
with the drainage system for the subdivision. The
following items shall be included for the surface
drainage system on each lot:

1. Concrete-lined "V" ditches shall be installed at
the bases of all slopes greater that 15 feet high
and adjacent to building pads. The ditches shall
drain to a suitable outlet.

2. All building pads shall be rough graded with a 2
percent slope toward the streets.

3. All roof downspouts shall be connected to a solid
pipe collector system which discharges to a
suitable outlet.

4. The crawl space of each house or unit shall be
connected to a solid pipe collector system which
discharges at a suitable outlet.

n

-
