8-4: Control of Surface Drainaae

SUbdivision surface drainage shall be controlled so that
landslide instigation, initiation or reactivation will be
minimized. All storm drainage, except for detention basins,
silt ponds, or other special conditions, should be in closed
conduits. Catch basins should be used frequently to catch
street gutter water.

8-5: Slope Creep

Specific recommendations for reducing damage to structures and
infrastructure caused by slope creep shall be provided. This
shall include recommendations for setback distance from the
slopes subject to slope creep.

8-6: Setbacks from Creek Banks and Slopes

The project geotechnical engineer and/or engineering geologist
shall provide detailed recommendations for the setback of
structures from the crest of creek banks, cut slopes, fill
slopes and natural slopes.

8-7: Slope Stabilitv: Gradina Procedures

The project civil engineer shall ensure that all
recommendations of the geotechnical engineer and/or
engineering geologist are reflected in the grading plan and
implemented by the developer. cut slopes and fill slopes for
lot grading, public street construction, infrastructure
construction, and slope stabilization shall be installed as
recommended by the project geotechnical engineer and/or
engineering geologist. Drainage benches with concrete lined
"V" ditches shall be installed on all cut and fill slopes in
accordance with the requirements of applicable grading codes.
Subdivision grading construction shall be continuously
inspected by the project civil engineer and geotechnical
engineer. Stabilization plans can be modified during
construction, as directed by the geotechnical engineer. All
slope stabilization grading shall be documented with as-built
drawings, which should include an as-built geologic map.

"

-
