<br />6-2: Minimize Pollutants Enterina RiDarian Areas <br /> <br />Runoff from residential landscaping and streets shall be <br />filtered and retained in catchment basins to reduced the <br />amount of chemicals, oil, and grease entering the riparian <br />areas according to City standards. <br /> <br />6-3: Protect Oaks Durina Construction and Bv Pro;ect Desian <br /> <br />During the construction phase of the project, grading <br />equipment and vehicles should not enter the area within 4 feet <br />of the outer leaf circumference (drip line) of each tree. <br />This zone should be plainly indicated to equipment operators <br />by the installation of a temporary wood lath and wire or <br />equivalent fence around the buffer zone. The arborist shall <br />be on-site during grading adjacent to these trees. The <br />arborist shall certify in writing that all grading operation <br />were conducted according to the conditions of approval. <br />Gutters should be located on slopes to divert runoff from <br />landscaping and roads away from oaks. Drought resistant <br />native plant species should be used in landscaping to reduce <br />water use. <br /> <br />6-4: ReDlaoe Lost or Damaaed Oaks and Maintain Them <br /> <br />Valley oaks removed or damaged from project-related activities <br />should be replaced on a 6:1 basis. Any trees removed along <br />Happy Valley Road shall be replaced at the same ratio, 3 of <br />these trees shall be a minimum of 24 inch box in size and <br />located in naturally appearing groupings along Happy Valley <br />Road. The grading plan shall include specific details to <br />retain the existing 38" cottonwood tree and 30" oak tree. <br />Specific details shall be included with on the Tentative Map. <br /> <br />7. PUBLIC FACILITIES AND SERVICES <br /> <br />7-1: Establish a Neiahborhood Watch Proaram <br /> <br />A "Neighborhood Watch" program shall be established with the <br />Police Department.
