The entire development shall have a dog leash law enforceable <br />through the CC&Rs, and walking of dogs shall be confined to <br />sidewalk and street areas. No dogs shall be permitted in the <br />remaining areas of natural open space, particularly while <br />running free. New home owners shall be made aware of the <br />problems which free-roaming house cats can pose for wildlife <br />species, and the hazards from predatory animals (coyotes and <br />owls) which house cats may encounter. Home-owners shall be <br />encouraged to maintain their cats in-house. (MM 6h) <br /> <br />19. All two, three or four-wheeled vehicles, with the exception of <br />maintenance vehicles, shall be prohibited on any portion of the <br />natural open space areas (Lot A) of the site. (modification of <br />MM 6i) <br /> <br />Water Service <br /> <br />20. All new units shall be installed with ultra low-flush toilets <br />(1.6 gallons per flush) and ultra low-flow shower heads and <br />faucets (2.0 gallons per minute), per state requirements <br />effective January 1, 1992. (MM 7a) <br /> <br />21. The project's proposed landscape design guidelines encourage the <br />use of native-type plants with limited irrigation areas. The <br />guidelines shall be modified to include requirements for bubbler <br />and drip irrigation systems with electric controllers set to <br />water between 7:00 PM and 10:00 AM. (MM 7b) <br /> <br />22. All landscaping installed by the developer shall consist of <br />drought-resistant and non-water-Ioving plant species where <br />possible. All developer-installed landscaped areas shall be <br />installed with water-conserving irrigation features as mentioned <br />above. (MM 7c) <br /> <br />23. A hydropneumatic "booster" water pump shall be installed for <br />each lot above 390 feet in elevation. Additionally, each of <br />these residences shall be equipped with a 150-200 gallon water <br />storage tank for fire and domestic water use. These pumps and <br />storage tanks shall be maintained by the lot-owner. Where <br />feasible, the pumps shall be located in the garage of the unit. <br />(MM 7d [part I]) <br /> <br />24. The developer shall install and pay for all water mains, lines <br />and other water-related system improvements determined by the <br />City of Pleasanton Public Works Department as necessary to <br />service the project. All such installations shall be to the <br />specifications of the City Engineer. (MM 7e) <br />
