ATTACHMENT A <br /> City Council Priorities <br /> As Developed at April 12, 2005 Workshop <br /> <br /> Goats Project Description <br /> <br />TRAFFIC <br />Implement Improved Traffic Circulation Measures <br />Tri-Valley Triangle Traffic Study The study looks at regional transportation projects included within the 1580 1680 <br /> Route 84 ~angie. The study analyzes needs and priorities of regional projects <br /> in the area of the study. <br />Traffic Signal Coordination This is an ongoing project to continuously look at ways to improve the flow of <br /> traffic through the City. This could include new traffic signaling schemes <br /> developed or traffic calming opportunities which enable the motorist to travel a <br /> thoroughfare street with a minimum of delay or traffic. Some policy issues will <br /> be addressed through the General Plan update. <br /> <br />Traffic Committee Awareness and Outreach Bring more awareness and oversight to Traffic Committee to help address <br /> traffic issues in Pleasardon. <br />CALLIPPE GOLF COURSE AND HAPPY VALLEY OPEN SPACE <br />Complete the Calllppe Golf Course, Including a Solution to the Bypass Road <br />Complete Development and Construction of Golf Course The project is under construction and is expected to be completed in June/July <br /> 2005 with play to begin in late December 2005. <br />Evaluate Reorientation of Driving Range Determine feasibility and evaluate cost of relocation. <br /> <br /> Happy Valley Bypass Road Development The issue of the Bypass Road has changed with Greenbriar's application for <br /> development of the Spotorno property, including a different alignment for the <br /> Bypass Road. Bypass Road altematives will be studied as part of the <br /> modification to the Happy Valley Specific Plan which is necessary for <br /> Greenbriar's proposal. <br /> <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />Pursue Economic Vitality, Including the Recruitment and Retention of Quality Businesses <br />Marketing campaign to promote/support Ioca~ business Coordinate with local business organizations and Chamber to develop a <br /> campaign to encourage support and patronage of local businesses. <br />Develop Business Attraction Program Develop both online and hard-copy collateral pieces to aid in personal contact <br /> to encourage new businesses to locate in Pleasanton. Explore incentive <br /> programs that would promote attraction. <br />YOUTH PROGRAMS <br />gtrengthen Youth Programs, Services and Activities <br />Youth Master Plan Implementation This is a multi-faceted approach to providing services to youth. Website <br /> (ptown411.com), Youth Center Master Plan process and BMX Park <br /> development are examples of projects currently underway. City would continue <br /> to provide staff support to this effort to enable implementation of the YMP. <br /> <br />PUBLIC SAFETY <br />Provide a Safe Environment for the People and Property in Pleasanton <br />Police/Youth Relations Continue to implement "The Parent Project" to assist families with troubled <br /> teens. <br />Maintain the City Emergency Preparedness Plan Coordinate plan updates, facJlitate year round staff training and conduct at leas <br /> one ddll annually. <br />Public Safety Awareness Programs - Enhance and Encourage Reestablish a strong Crime Prevention message to discourage crime; reaffirm <br /> Cdme Prevention techniques; establish an "Anonymous Tip Line" to help solve <br /> <br /> Complete and open relocated Fire Station #4 on the Bemal Property Staff will coordinate construction supervision and facilitate the move-in by mid- <br /> summer 2005. <br /> <br /> UALITY OF LIFE <br />Provide Programs and Servlcas that Enhance the Quality of Life for Pleasanton Resldente <br /> Library, Youth Center, Community Center, and Civic Center Master Plan These four separate projects will be reviewed collectively initially to determine <br /> Process there impact on the civic center site and the Council's direction related to <br /> coordination of these activities. <br /> <br /> Second Bemal Bridge crossing Arroyo De la Laguna Project builds a second bridge adjacent to the histodc steel bddge.
