As part of the process, Mr. Bocian requested that the Commission review several documents: 1) FY 2006~ <br />09 cIP Curremly Funded and Planned Projects; 2) FY 2006-09 C1P Currently Unfunded Parks and <br />Miscellaneous Projects; 3) Streets Project Summary, FY 2004-05 through 2006-07; and 4) Summary of FY <br />2005 Mid~Term CIP Commission Actions, February 2, 2005. After reviewing the documents, he requested <br />that the Commission: 1) identify its highest priority project(s); 2) identify any projects that are not on the <br />list that should be highest priority; and 3) identify any projects that are on the list and not a priority. <br /> <br />Ms. Morley asked Mr. Bocian if the Commission could also include projects that currently do not appear in <br />the report, i.e. the Gingerbread Preschool playground/parking lot renovation at Amador Valley Community <br />Park. <br /> <br />Commissioner Lambert discussed the need for lighted basketball courts at Val Vista Community Park, and <br />wondered if sports walls could be added at the Tennis and Community Park. <br /> <br />Commissioner Tenbrink discussed with Mr. Bocian potential funding for the South Pleasanton Park and <br />Presley Property identified on the Unfunded Projects list. Mr. Bocian also provided Commissioner <br />Tenbrink with information about a feasibility study being conducted for the Youth/Community Center <br />shown on the Currently Funded Projects list. <br /> <br />Commissioner Tenbrink informed Mr. Bocian that he considered the Youth/Community Center Feasibility <br />Study and the Library Space Needs to be high priority items. Mr. Bocian provided information about the <br />Civic Center Master Plan that will include Library and Teen Center options. He also noted that a workshop <br />to consider these items would be held sometime in April or May 2005. <br /> <br />Commissioner Detweiler considered items "G" and "J" on the Currently Unfunded list to be high priority <br />items. <br /> <br />Commissioner Testa questioned Mr. Bocian about planned improvements for Vineyard Avenue. <br /> <br />After further discussion, the Commission agreed that its high priority projects were: <br /> <br />Funded Projects: <br /> Veterans Memorial Building <br /> Firehouse Arts Center <br /> City Hall Building and Civic Center Site Improvements, including Library and Teen Center options. <br /> Youth/Community Center Feasibility Study <br /> <br />Unfunded Projects: <br /> Gingerbread Preschool - Playground <br /> Gingerbread Preschool - Parking Lot <br /> Val Vista Community Park - Lighted Basketball Courts <br /> Tennis and Community Park - Sports Wall <br /> <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Tenbrink, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, to approve the <br />currently Funded Projects list noted (in order) as being the highest priority items. In addition, the following <br />items to be added to the Unfunded Projects list: 1) Gingerbread Preschool Playground and Parking Lot <br /> <br />Human Services Commission Minutes <br />March 2, 2005 <br />Page 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
