Resolution No. PC-9S-78
Page 14

g. The design of the water system shall ensure that on an
average day, the water pressure shall not fall below 40
psi, at the peak hour the pressure should not fall below
30 psi, and with fire flow on a maximum day, the water
pressure shall remain at least at 20 psi, all of which
shall be measured at the meter.

h. Pressure reduction valves (PRVs) shall be installed at
the house to lower the water pressure to 80 psi, at all
homes where deemed necessary. No PRVs shall be permitted
at curbside.

i. Piping between the water meter and the PRV shall be 1.5-
inch minimum diameter and upgraded to Schedule 80, or as
determined by the Chief Building Official, to accommodate
the expected higher water pressures. All service laterals
between the main and the meter shall be 1.5 inch minimum
diameter and shall be upgraded to accommodate the
additional water pressure, as determined by the City
Engineer.

j. A corrosion engineer shall determine the suitability of
the soils to accept ferrous metal pipes.

k. The developer shall disclose to all buyers of affected
properties (lots above elevation 670 feet) that the
static water pressure when the tank is empty will be less
than 40 psi. This notice shall be reviewed and approved
by the City Attorney prior to sale of any unit in this
project. This notice shall be included in all deeds to
individual properties.

I. Prior to City Council approval of the Final Map, the
developer shall have prepared a soils investigation for
the proposed tank site to determine its geotechnical
suitability.

~ Sewer

52. All sanitary sewers and laterals shall be designed to flow by
gravity, except for Lots 10 13. For these lots, the
developer shall install individual sewer grinder pumps, which
shall be connected to a common force main. The developer's
engineer shall submit for the City Engineer's approval the
pump data on the grinder pump to be installed. Unless
otherwise approved by the City Engineer, the grinder pumps
shall be installed with the subdivision improvements.
