Resolution No. PC-95-95 was entered finding that the proposed PUD rezoning is
consistent with the General Plan, making the PUD f"mdings for the proposed
development plan, and recommending approval of Case PUD-95-06, as motioned.

Chairman Lutz motioned, seconded by Commissioner Dove, recommending the City
Council expedite growth management for this project.

ROLL CALL VOTE

AYES:
NOES:
ABSENT:
ABSTAIN:

Commissioners Barker, Dove, Hovingh, McGuirk and Chairman Lutz
None
Commissioner Wright
None

The motion carried.

d. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS

Commissioner Barker made the suggestion that the City Council should initiate a Youth/Teen
Commission, positions to be held by teens and appointed by the Council, for teens to look at
issues to make the City a better place for youth. Commissioner Barker also got a complaint
regarding the railroad tracks at Neal, where cars are bottoming out over the tracks.

Commissioner Hovingh had complaints of large trucks on West Las Positas, 11128/95, 7:05
am, a Western Truck Driving School truck, license 9AI9675. He asked again that additional
signage be posted so these large trucks are not driving on West Las Positas between Foothill
Rd. and the DMV offices. Also, Pimlico Plaza and the coffee shop, 11/16/95,7:40 am, a
pickup truck (3H46137) was blocking one lane so he could cross lanes to go northbound on
Santa Rita. Also, 11128/95, 7:38 am, a PG&E truck (4EI679) made the same maneuver.
Commissioner Hovingh feels very strongly that there is a problem at this intersection. and
the Caffino coffee shop is not abiding by their promises to direct traffic out to Pimlico
instead of reentering traffic on Santa Rita. Staff stated they were to post a sign advising
exiting onto Pimlico. Commissioner Hovingh and Chairman Lutz advised no signs have
been posted.

Planning Commission Minutes

Page IS

November 29, 1995
