Prezoninl! RZ-94-07 and Annexation. Citv of Pleasanton <br />Prezoning of the San Francisco Water Department Bernal Avenue property and a <br />portion of the Alameda County Transportation Corridor to the following Planned Unit <br />Development (PUD) designations: PUD -Parks and Recreation/Public Health and <br />Safety/Medium Density Residential/High Density Residential/Public and Institutional <br />(future school)/Retail, Highway, and Service Commercial, Business and Professional <br />Offices/Public and Institutional/ Transportation Corridor; and 2) annexation of this land <br />along with the adjacent 27 acre Pleasanton Middle School site owned by the Pleasanton <br />Unified School District. The 560 acre, triangular-shaped site is bounded by the Arroyo <br />de ]a Laguna to the west, Bernal Avenue to the north, and the Alameda County <br />Transportation Corridor to the southeast. The Planning Commission will also consider <br />the Draft EIR prepared for this project. <br /> <br />Continued to 6/14/95. <br /> <br />L Canital Improvement PrOl!ram <br />Review of the Five-Year Capital Improvement Program and consideration of confonnity <br />with the General Plan. <br /> <br />Mr. Bocian, Assistant City Manager, presented the staff report of the Capital Improvement <br />Program for the Commission to verify its conformity to the General Plan. Staff is <br />recommending the Commission find the CIP is consistent with the General Plan and <br />recommending the funding priorities identified in the Program. <br /> <br />Mr. Bocian noted staff's attempt to reduce the size of the document as well as grouping the <br />projects into either expansion or replacement and improvement projects. Park renovation <br />funds were also used for the first time. <br /> <br />Commissioner Barker inquired whether Fire Station No.4 is still needed since the General <br />Plan shows no increased housing in the Vineyard Corridor.
