<br />Chairman Wright concurs with Commissioner Hovingh on restricting parking vehicles that <br />are leaking fluids of any kind. This is to be added as l-A-(6). <br /> <br />Mr. Beougher requested that a provision be added to Condition 6.a. giving the Fire Chief or <br />his agent the authority to enforce the Fire Lane Tow Away Zone. Tom Cavala <br />Application for design review approval for exterior modifications in conjunction with the <br />remodeling of an existing building, for construction of a new building, and for <br />demolition of an existing metal building located at 4425 Railroad A venue (the former <br />Thiessens Machine Shop). A use determination for replacement of the former machine <br />shop with a Corian counter fabrication/retail sales business is also requested. Zoning <br />for the property is C-c (Central CommerciaI), Downtown Overlay District. <br /> <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report for Tom Cavala, Z-95-26. Staff advised the <br />Commission that there are two issues to be discussed. A use determination must be made <br />regarding the proposed use of a retail sales/fabrication business, and a design review on the <br />remodeling of the building at 4425 Railroad Avenue, the construction of a new building, and <br />the demolition of an existing metal building and various out-buildings. The new building <br />will have two retail spaces fronting on Railroad Avenue and an approximately 3,000 sq. ft. <br />fabrication building.
