<br />A motion was made by Commissioner Hovingh, seconded by Commissioner McGuirk, <br />eliminating the existing Financial Institution Policy (City Council Resolution 87-541) and <br />approving the draft amendments to the Pleasanton Municipal Code and Downtown <br />Pleasanton Specific Plan, and forwarding to the City Council for review, with the <br />following modifications to Exhibit A: <br /> <br />18.08.092: "Financial Institution" includes those businesses engaged in deposit <br />banking or closely related functions, and shall include but shall not be limited to <br />the following types of businesses: banks and savings and loan associations. <br />Credit unions, mortgage bankers and brokers, loan companies and other non- <br />depository institutions shall not be considered a financial institution for purposes <br />of this Code. <br /> <br />18.44: delete asterisks <br />Table 18.44.090: delete asterisks <br />18.44.080.E: delete section <br />18.40.030: delete section <br />18.40.040: delete section <br /> <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Commissioners McGuirk, Hovingh and Lutz <br />Commissioner Barker and Chairman Wright <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution No. PC-95-01 was entered approving Case RZ-94-8, as motioned. <br /> <br />7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Barker inquired if there are any restrictions or timeframes on undeveloped lots <br />in established neighborhoods. Mr. Beougher advised there are no restrictions on such lots. <br /> <br />Chairman Wright advised that he has spoken to various people and the police about a <br />neighbor at 2638 Calle Allegre who has several unregistered, nondrivable cars on the street <br />and his property, as well as other vehicles which he moves every 72 hours. Chairman <br />Wright believes the anti-ugly ordinance would cover such a situation and would like to see <br />something done about the matter. <br /> <br />Commissioner McGuirk stated that the Lai Lai Restaurant in the Best Plaza has a lotto <br />banner which is falling apart and he doesn't think it is appropriate signage for the building. <br />Mr. Swift commented that the lotto signs are regulated by the State and supersede all City <br />ordinances.
