Section 6. E}eLOYEES~ The Planning Commission <br /> <br />shall be authorized to employ consultants, officers and <br />employees only with the approval of the 0ity Council. <br /> <br /> Section 7. CHAIRMAN: The Planning 0oremission shall <br />appoint from its own members a Chairman and a Vice Chairman, <br />and shell adopt rules of order and rules for transactin~ <br />business. <br /> <br /> Section 8. ~EETING5: Meetings shall be public, and <br />shall be held at least monthly. Public records shall be kept <br />of all resolutions, transactions, findings, determinations <br />and correspondence of the Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> Section 9. AREA PLANNING: This Plannin~ Commission <br />shall cooperate with county or area planning commissions as <br />may promote and protect the interests of the City of Pleasanton <br />in plannin~ and development of the surfour cling area. <br /> <br /> Section 10. FUNDS: The 0ity shall appropriate to <br />the Planning Commission sufficient funds to perform the duties <br />set out in this ordinance. The Plannin~ Commission shall not <br />spend, exclusive of gifts received for the express purpose of <br />planning and zoning, more than the funds appropriated by the <br />City. <br /> <br /> Section ll, EXPENSES: Commissioners shall not be <br />compensated for their services, but shall receive reimburs~nent <br />for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance <br />of their duties, <br /> <br /> Section 12. DUTIES OF THE PLANNING COM~T/SSION: The <br /> <br />Plannin~ Commission shall perform the followin~ functions: <br /> <br /> (a) Prepare, adopt and administer a general or <br /> <br />Master Plan for ~he City and for land adjacent to the City for <br />long term growth, subject to revision as conditions and land <br /> <br /> -2- <br /> <br /> <br />
