Future Planning Calendar
General Plan Update Schedule/Hacienda Business Park
Chairperson Roberts wished to discuss the General Plan Update schedule and noted that
Mr. Rasmussen had reserved several dates, including Apri122 and May 6, 2004. She
suggested that Hacienda be discussed in the middle of the month.
In response to an inquiry by Chairperson Roberts, Mr. Paxson advised that there was still
work to be done with Planning staff with respect to traffic and transportation analysis.
He noted that the model had been tacitly approved for use and that Hacienda was
beginning to discuss it. He noted that a general agreement on the parameters would
determine Hacienda's appearance date before the Planning Commission. He noted that
transit-based mitigation was a key element and added that he had not had enough time to
study the matter with staff. He noted that he would be meeting with staff on the week of
March 8, 2004.
Commissioner Kameny requested that the meetings not be held back-to-back with the
regular Planning Commission meetings.
Mr. Paxson noted that if the Commissioners wished to hear input on a particular item, he
would add it to the presentation.
Commissioner Arkin requested that this item be added to the agenda for the next General
Plan Update meeting.
Commissioner Fox inquired whether the number of stories proposed for residential areas
would be discussed. Mr. Paxson noted that all buildings would fit the existing scale of
the Park and that nothing would exceed five stories.
PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES March 10, 2004 Page 8 of 10
