Page 1 of I

Marion Pavan
From:
Sent: Monday, January 24, 2005 8:08 PM
To: Marion Pavan
Subject: PUD-42/PSP-8, Bach& Lamb San Carlos trail

Regarding talk of eliminating the trail between Sycamore Terrace and San Carlos Way:
As you know from previous communication, I am very much against eliminating this trail. I
have been hoping for this trail to go through since we moved here in 1991 and our children
were small. I feel it is even more important now that there is extensive development behind
our neighborhood. Children in our neighborhood go to the same school as those in the new
developments behind us at Bridal Creek, etc., and they can use this trail to go to one
another's homes without making another trip in the car. Also, I see that the new pathway is
going in at Independence Dr. and would like to make a nice loop on my morning walks from
my house through Bridal Creek, to Mission Park, etc.

Regarding the walkway, I know that Mr. Bozorgzhad states that he is concerned with
security. As long as fences are kept no higher than the standard 6 feet and there is lighting
at the stairs, I don't see a problem here. We may not even had to have steps if Mr.
Bozorgzhad had been required to grade his property so that he didn't look down into
everyone's yards, that were completely private before he built. I was disappointed in the first
place that such a large home was allowed to be built in the way of other home's views,
without grading.

I would like to attend the meeting on Wed. evening but I am teaching from 5-8:00 p.m., so if
this topic is covered before I get there, please consider this, my previous letter and the
neighborhood survey from several years ago when we had to fight to keep this trail in the
plan. I do not want to have to spend the time to take this to council again, where it was
voted to keep the trail. Please keep the trail in the plan. Thank you.
Gall OIney, 5855 San Juan Way, Pleasanton 925-484-2927

2/1/2005
