Page I of 1

Marion Pavan

From:
Sent: Tuesday, January 04, :)005 4:31 PM
To: Marion Pavan

Subject: PUD-42/PSP-8 Bach/Lamb

Regarding PUD-42/PSP-8, Bach and Lamb's request to eliminate the public trail connection
between San Carlos Way and Sycamore Terrace, we completely object. We already fought
this battle and took it to council back when Mr Bozorgzad, on Sycamore Terrace, was trying
to build his home. At that time, it was agreed by the council that the trail should remain in
the Sycamore Specific Plan. We are angry that we again have to deal with this and feel
we should not have to fight this battle again.

We would like to continue to have access to the Sycamore neighborhood, which was
blocked by Mr Bozorgzad when he built the wall and fence after finishing his home. We
believe in neighborhoods being connected for families to be more neighborly, enjoy walking
and biking and to keep parents out of their cars when their children wish to play with the
neighbor behind the fence. We currently have to go around through the San Antonio
entrance, which is not convenient and a long walk or bike ride for younger ones, since it is
not safe to have children riding on the pathway on Sunol BIvd. I've actually witnessed cars
accidentally driving up on the bike path near the cemetery!

This pathway would greatly benefit the new neighbors behind us as well for their children to
walk or ride to school, Raley's center or the library. We need to keep people out of their cars
as much as possible and this is one way to help.

Thank you for notifying us of this request for change, and please support and retain the
plans for a pathway.

Gall and Joel Olney
5855 San Juan Way
Pleasanton
925-484-2927

2/1/2005
