U!)lightin¢ in Residential Neighborhoods
Commissioner Fox requested that standards regarding uplighting in residential
neighborhood be examined.

Commissioner Roberts noted that a business office building in Sunol Boulevard had
security lighting that was not hooded and noted that was sometimes an issue in houses as
well.

Mr. Pavan noted that he would direct the project planner to ensure that the lighting
conformed to the original conditions of approval.

Planning Items on the Website
Commissioner Fox advised that the City of Dublin included a listing of all General Plan
Amendments on its website as well as a list of current projects and their planners. She
suggested that the City of Pleasanton include similar items on its website.

Noticing
Commissioner Fox would like the noticing process to be examined and inquired whether
it would be possible for the items to be available sooner for public and Commission
examination.

Ms. Nerland advised that by State law, the notices were sent out 10 days before the
meeting date to all property owners and residents within 300-feet of the project site.

Commissioner Roberts noted that the Post Office did not always update new streets for
noticing.

Scoping Session
Commissioner Fox advised that she would not be able to attend the EIR Scoping Session
for the Spotomo Ranch.

In response to Commissioner Blank's inquiry whether the joint meetings could be held on
'alternate Wednesdays instead of on Tuesdays, Commissioner Roberts noted that the
Chambers was used by other Commissions on the Wednesdays not scheduled for the
Planning Commission meetings. She added that Planning Commissioners were invited to
the meeting but that attendance was not required.

Ms. Decker advised that staff would work to find an alternate date if possible.

Public Meeting Calendar
Commissioner Blank requested a calendar that would display all City meetings at one
time and believed it would be very helpful for the public in planning their participation.

Planning Commission Minutes on Website
Commissioner Fox noted that some of the Planning Commission minutes were posted on
the website under the Amador Theater site (www.amadortheater.org).

PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES February 9, 2005 Page 20 of 22
