.

.

.

PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED

Tom Hunter, 2332 New Lake Place, Martinez, represented this application. He is part-owner
of the furniture consignment business; they presently have a store in Walnut Creek. This is their
fIrst step in expansion and believe that Pleasanton will provide a strong base for their business.

In response to Commissioner Wright, Mr. Hunter indicated he has read the conditions of
approval. Commissioner Wright advised that Condition 5 states delivery is only during business
hours with an ability to extend delivery between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. if
necessary. Commissioner Wright asked if it would be a hindrance for delivery to be restricted
to no later than 5:00 p.m. Mr. Hunter advised this would be a hindrance because some clients
require an evening pick-up time.

Regarding the condition of the furniture, Mr. Hunter advised that the condition of the furniture
is pre-screened, but occasionally a piece needs to be cleaned and is done in the back room.

PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED

Commissioner Dove inquired if the stated parking figure includes the parking on the east side
of Rosewood Drive. Staff advised that it does not.

Commissioner Lutz motioned, seconded by Commissioner Cooper, making the required use
permit findings and approving Case UP-96-67, subject to the conditions listed in Exhibit
B.
ROLL CALL VOTE

AYES:
NOES:
ABSENT:
ABSTAIN:

Commissioners Cooper, Dove, Lutz, Wright and Chair Barker
None
Commissioner McGuirk
None

Resolution No. PC 96-82 was entered approving Case UP-96-67, as motioned.

c.
