Medium Density Residential density ranges. <br /> <br />Page 11-11, third complete paragraph: Commissioner Hovingh noted that the hold capacity <br />calculations have changed. <br /> <br />Page 11-16, Program 5.2: This was discussed and will remain as written. Chairman Lutz feels <br />that the City does seek business through the Economic Advisory Committee, and this program <br />should be viewed as guidance to staff. <br /> <br /> <br />Page 11-16, Program 3.2: The Commission will accept the recommended language change from <br />the Park and Recreation Commission from "Consider" to "Explore," and the deletion of the <br />portion "or other public open space area to serve as a location for outdoor community events." <br /> <br />Page 11-16, Program 3.4: This was discussed and approved as written. However, <br />Commissioner Hovingh feels that the limited parking downtown could pose a problem. <br />Commissioner Wright feels that the City would not want to encourage three-story development <br />in the Downtown. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Page 11-16, Program 3.5: Commissioner Hovingh suggested that the program (historic train <br />concept) be deleted from the General Plan until the project is better defmed environmentally and <br />public response is received. Commissioner Wright suggested to use the language "Consider." <br />Commissioner McGuirk would prefer that the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way be used <br />for the best alternative for pedestrian/vehicular circulation. The final consensus was to change <br />"Encourage" to "Consider." <br /> <br />Page 11-16, Program 6.2: There was discussion to add "affordable" regarding child care <br />facilities. No agreement was reached to implement a change. <br /> <br />Page 11-17, Program 7.2, and Page 11-17, Program 6.4: <br />residential housing directly next to BART is unacceptable. <br />to recommend the deletion of Programs 6.4 and 7.2. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright feels that <br />The Commission members agreed <br /> <br />Page 1-18, Policy 9: Commissioner Wright felt that the word "Provide" should be changed to <br />"Make an effort" or "Where feasible." After discussion, the Commission agreed to the wording: <br />"Provide each major residential area with high quality neighborhood facilities including a park <br />and other amenities, and encourage the location of an elementary school. " <br /> <br />Page 11-19, Program 13.1: Commissioner Wright suggested a modification to read: "Make an <br />effort to reduce the need for vehicular traffic by. . .."
