.

.

.

b. UP.95.80/Z.95.255. GTE Mobilnet/Tea GrOUD
Application for a conditional use permit and design review approval to allow the
construction and operation of an unmanned cellular communications facility, including
an S5 foot tall monopole and transmission/receiving antenna and a 240 square foot
equipment building, located at 3744 Old Santa Rita Road. Zoning for the property is
C-S (Service Commercial) District.

Continued to April 24, 1996.

7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS

Sometime ago, Commissioner Wright reported a number of King Air vans parking on the
street at 2118 Goldcrest; again, there are a couple of vans and a number of cars parked on
the street at this location. Further, Commissioner Wright noticed a King Air van parked in
the aisle in front of the newly constructed dining area outside of Gene's Pine Foods. He
feels the curb needs to be painted red in this area. Commissioner Wright also requested that
Miko's coffee shop repaint their parking lot arrows, replace and replant their planters, and
remove a freestanding wooden sign from the parking lot.

Commissioner Hovingh inquired if the WalMartlMcDonald's signs will come before the
Commission for review. Mr. Iserson stated they are still considering what they wish to do.

Commissioner Hovingh also wanted to discuss the procedures for the hearing of the General
Plan. He stated he would like to encourage no set time limits on public testimony (i.e., not
invoke the five-minute rule). He would also suggest that a meeting time limit be set with
additional testimony be continued to another meeting. General discussion ensued among all
Commissioners; the Commissioners don't want to deny any public testimony, and feel if
extra meetings are required, they be scheduled within the month. Staff will research when
meetings can be scheduled as a contingency plan.

Commissioner McGuirk inquired if there is a work stoppage on the Moller property
development. Staff is unaware of any work stoppage.

8. MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW

Sa. Future PlanniDl! Calendar

There were none.

8b.
