Center <br />Application for a major modification to an approved Planned Unit Development (PUD) for <br />Hopyard Village Shopping Center, located at the northeast corner of Hopyard Road and <br />Valley Avenue, to consider amendments to conditions of approval regarding uses, hours of <br />parking lot gate closure, parking lot lighting, landscaping, and lattice fence extensions for <br />the 52 space back parking lot and buildings located at 5725 and 5737 Valley Avenue. <br />Zoning for the property is PUD (planned Unit Development) - C-C (Central Commercial) <br />District. <br /> <br />Continued to 2/28/96. <br /> <br />f. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Hovingh brought an article regarding freeway signs to the attention of the <br />Commission. He noted a minor modification to put a sign on Waltnart for the McDonalds. He <br />is opposed to the principle. He sought support for appealing the PUD minor modification. <br />Commissioner Wright concurs regarding the Wahnart sign and then attempting a modification to <br />add a McDonald's sign on the building. <br /> <br />Commissioner Barker inquired about the Safeway construction because she has been advised that <br />graffiti has been appearing on the walls. Staff feels the construction should be starting in the <br />near future. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright inquired as to the status of the liquor store situation in the Lucky shopping <br />center, Me, Iserson stated that the lease runs either through March or April and the tenants are <br />staying until the end of their lease.
