;"

..

.

.

.

on his street. He agrees with Mr. Howell that a "Y" in the road would be a good alternative,
especially for people traveling to the golf course. He also stated that the front yard setback
keeps decreasing and that in order to maintain a rural environment, he believes it should not be
decreased beyond 75 feet.

Mr. Bozorgzad addressed the Commission a second time in order to be sure he made himself
clear that he supports Plan A. He noted that Plan B "completely tears up his property". He
does not believe that it's fair for people who will be over 100 feet away from the road to have
a say in something that will drastically affect his property.

Howard Hyman, 547 Sycamore Road, stated that he purchased his home three years ago and that
he is happy with the original NSSP and requested that the Commission support the original Plan.
He further requested that any additional considerations be sent to all residents involved because
he was not notified of Plan C.

Leslie Wolf, 6028 Alisal Street, stated that her family purchased their home less than one year
ago because of the rural environment. She commented that Plan B would greatly increase traffic
and she, therefore, is in support of Plan A.

Anne Greene addressed the Commission a second time, noting that the way Plan B is designed
it does not tear down Mr. Bach's home. She also presented a letter written by Mr. Severini in
1991, in which he stated his opposition to any realignment of Sycamore Road that would either
widen the road or significantly add more cars traveling it on a daily basis and his utter
displeasure and total opposition to any change in the present configuration of Sycamore Road.
Ms. Greene stated that apparently Mr. Severini has forgotten that he had a position other than
his favorable position for Plan A.

Mr. Costanzo addressed the concerns expressed by the audience. He noted that Greenbriar is
currently working with the Mrs. Moreira's attorney is an attempt to satisfy her concerns. He
also stated that the road was moved north, away from her property, in order to save a tree on
Lot 10 which was not identified on the original NSSP.

He expressed confusion with the petition submitted by Ms. Lydiksen because he already has
made agreements with the neighbors regarding the single-story homes, even though some of
those people may have signed her petition despite their agreement.

Mr. Costanzo asked the Commission to support and recommend approval of the Plan, subject
to the conditions modified by Greenbriar.

PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED

Chair Cooper suggested that the Commission address each of the issues separately.

Planning Commission

Page 7

December 10, 1997
