Staff is <br />. recommending approval subject to the conditions noted in the staff report. <br /> <br />John E. Hyjer, President, CEO of ADG Development and Investments, Inc., represented the <br />application. He is in agreement with staff's recommendations and requested permission to <br />proceed. Mr. Hyjer presented an illustration of the proposed building and landscaping. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dove expressed concern with the visibility surrounding the handicapped parking <br />space and suggested that more turning room be provided in that area. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED <br /> <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Barker, seconded by Commissioner Lutz, <br />recommending approval of PUD-81-30-73D, subject to the staff's conditions noted in Exhibit <br />"B." <br /> <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Barker, Dove, Kumaran, and Lutz, and Chair Cooper <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Wright <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Resolution PC-97-97 was entered and adopted as motioned. <br /> <br />7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Kumaran advised Mr. Iserson that he has noticed a mess of the leaves in the <br />streets and on the sidewalks. He specifically gave Mr. Iserson the name of the intersection that <br />he is concerned with. Mr. Higdon stated that he would direct this matter to the Streets <br />Department. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dove commented that, in light of what had just occurred with the Greenbriar <br />application, that the affordable housing issue needs to be addressed among the Commission. He <br />suggested that the Commission hold a work shop to discuss the issues and also to review the <br />general standards and discuss how the Commission can do the best job possible. Mr. Iserson <br />noted that such a work shop could be scheduled, but it would require public notice.
