J ! . ~ . . ~ Chair Cooper stated that the Affordable Housing Commission is in the process of developing a new process whereby all PUD applications would be reviewed for affordable housing components at the initial application stage. The Commission briefly discussed the golf course and the changes that have been made from the original plan. Commissioner Dove noted that he had attended a recent meeting involving the golf course and the application will be coming before the Planning Commission in February or March, 1998. Mr. Higdon offered to describe the golf course project to the Commission next month in order to provide a history. Commissioner Barker reported that she has been working with the Downtown Task Force and she related the current objectives of the task force. The Commission briefly discussed the Wayside Park and concluded that a restroom and a dog walk would be useful. 8. MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW a. Future Planninl! ADDointment of a liaison to the Affordable Housinl! Commission The Commission nominated Commissioner Kumaran and he accepted. e. Consideration of the comDosition of the DroDosed Herital!e Tree ADDeals Board Commissioner Barker stated that she was in favor of three people appointed by the Mayor. The rest of the Commission stated that the Board should include representatives from the Planning and Parks and Recreation Commissions. 9. COMMUNICATIONS There were none. 10.
