~9..900 ..Condit$onal pse...Pennits. The purpose of the conditional <br />use permit is to allow the proper integration into the community of <br />uses which may be suitable only in specific locations in a zoning dis= <br />trict or only if such uses are designed or laid out in the site in a <br />particular manner. In authorizing a conditional use, the Co~nission <br />may impose such requirements and conditions with respect to location, <br />construction, maintenance and operation, in addition to those expressly <br />stipulated in this ordinance for the particular use, as they may deem <br />necessary for the protection of adjacent properties and the public interest. <br /> <br /> 19.901 Application shall be made by the property owner or certi- <br />fied agent thereof to the Planning Commission on a form prescribed for <br />this purpose by the City of Pleasanton. Conditional use permits, revocable <br />conditional or valid for a term period may be issued for any of the uses or <br />purposes for which such permits are required or permitted by the terms <br />of this ordinance. <br /> <br /> 19.902 Accompanying maps and drawings shall be filed as necessary. <br /> <br /> 19.903 If the Planning Commission determines that the proposed struc- <br />ture or building use conforms to the requirements and the intent of this <br />ordinance, the Pleasanton General Plan, that any additional conditions <br />stipulated by the ~ssion as deemed necessary in the public interest <br />have been met, and that such use will not under the circumstances of the <br />particular case constitute a nuisance or be detrimental to the public <br />welfare of the community, the Commission shall issue a conditional use <br />permit. <br /> <br /> 19.904 ~FO11owing the issuance of a conditional use permit by the <br />Planning Commission, the city staff shall ensure that development is <br />undertaken and completed in compliance with said permit. <br /> <br /> 19.1000 3ariances. The purpose of the variance is to allow <br />variation from th[ ~t~iCt application of the terms of this ordinance <br />where by reason of the exceptional narrowness, shallo~ness or unusual <br />shape of a specific piece of property on the effective date of this <br />ordinance, or by reason of exceptional topographic conditions, or other <br />extraordinary situation or condition of such piece of property, or of <br />the use or development of property immediately adjoining the piece of <br />property in'question, the literal enforcement of the requirements of <br />this ordinance would involve practical difficulties or would cause <br /> <br /> a I a be granted to permit a use other <br />than a use pex~nitted in any distric~.~ <br /> 19.1001 Application shall be made by the property owner to the <br />Planning Con~nission on the prescribed form. <br /> <br /> 19.1002 t~aps and drawings shall be required to demonstrate that <br />the conditions apply to subject property. <br /> <br /> <br />
