BPTC Representatives 2026 Page 1 of 1 November 19, 2025 <br /> <br /> <br /> Energy and Environment Commission <br />Agenda Report <br /> November 19, 2025 <br /> Item 6 <br /> <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Selection of Committee Assignment for the Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trails <br />Committee <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION <br />Pursuant to Resolution 2024-003, the Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trails Committee (BPTC) shall <br />have nine members comprised of: <br />a. One member from the Planning Commission <br />b. One member from the Parks and Recreation Commission <br />c. One member from the Youth Commission <br />d. One member from the Energy and Environment Commission <br />e. Five at-large members who shall be residents of Pleasanton <br /> <br />Annually, the Energy and Environment Commission selects a representative to participate in <br />the BPTC. The Commission also selects an alternate in the event the main representative is <br />unavailable. The selected representative will provide updates to the Energy and Environment <br />Commission on the BPTC’s activities and projects. <br /> <br />Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trails Committee <br />The BPTC advises the Parks and Recreation Commission, City Council, Traffic Engineering <br />Division, and Public Works on matters related to bicycles, pedestrians, and trail-related <br />matters. This includes actions and policies of the Climate Action Plan 2.0 related to bicycles, <br />pedestrians, and trails. The BPTC reviews and prioritizes potential projects, provides input on <br />policies related to bikeways and trails, and promotes community education and awareness <br />regarding non-motorized forms of transportation. <br /> <br /> Meeting Time: Fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. (every other <br />month in odd months as needed) <br />Meeting Location: Pleasanton Senior Center, 5353 Sunol Blvd., Pleasanton <br />Current Representative: Phil Bowman <br />Current Alternate: N/A <br /> <br />The regular calendar of the BPTC has not been adopted to date, however, the first anticipated <br />meeting date is on January 26, 2026.
