Resolution No. PC-97-44 Page 2 The site's PUD-C zoning conditionally permits the establishment of massage services within beauty salons. The proposed use complies with all relevant sections of the zoning ordinance. Granting a conditional use permit to operate a therapeutic massage facility is consistent with the City's ability to regulate zoning as listed in Municipal Code Section 18.124 "Conditional Uses." WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); therefore, no environmental document was prepared for this project. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed massage facility will be compatible with the surrounding uses. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Section 2. Approves Case UP-97-22, the application of Rickie Slominski (One Park Avenue), for a conditional use permit to operate massage therapy services within an existing beauty salon, One Park Avenue, located in the Meadow Plaza Shopping Center at 3120 Santa Rita Road, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit "B," attached hereto and made part ofthis case by reference. This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and adoption unless appealed prior to that time.
