A: Yes, field fee increases will be effective July 1, annually.

3. Q: Is the plan to continue to increase these fees annually until 25% is being
charged?

A: The proposal is for a three-year term. No final cost recovery percentage has
been determined.

4. Q: Are you able to share specifics regarding costs attributable to the Sports field
rental/usage numbers, including exactly what is included in those 4 cost
component line items?

A: Yes, the field fee rental section of the NBS study will be included in the Parks
and Recreation Commission agenda. Staff will email the November 14, 2024,
Parks and Recreation Meeting announcement and agenda link to all co-
sponsored organizations.

5. Q: Are all sports charged the same rate for a grass field or is it sport specific? If
so, does it make sense to lump all field maintenance together given different field
and equipment needs (for example, 11v11 soccer fields have more yardage to
mow but baseball/softball grass fields also have additional nearly daily infield
maintenance needs).

A: All sports will be charged the same rate for field use. Fees will not be sports
specific.

6. Q: The quality of some fields has declined considerably this year compared to
recent years. For example, standing water issues at Ken Mercer, more bare
spots at Val Vista, etc. Will there be assurances of higher quality fields or
discounts available should conditions deteriorate, if we will be paying?
