The location and capacity of the two new wells will be provided by the City after field testing
is performed at Del Prado Park, Tennis and Community Park, and Hansen Park. The City
will also be responsible for providing cost estimates associated with the new well facilities.
2. The water distribution system evaluation shall be performed for existing and future demand
conditions against the performance criteria established in the WDSCMP.
3. The evaluation shall determine any changes to recommended improvements in the
WDSCMP by providing a Revised Table 8.2. The Revised Table 8.2 shall be formatted to
clearly reflect changes due to this alternative (i.e., strikethrough deleted recommendations
and bold new/modified recommendations). Cost estimates will be provided for new/modified
recommendations and include existing and future user breakdowns and triggers for when
they are needed.
4. All recommended improvements shall be compatible with and build off near-term
improvements (i.e. S-1, S-2, S-3, and BS-1) as those projects are already underway and to
minimize sunk costs.
Task 2.0 – Zone 7 and City Joint Wells Alternative Evaluation
This task entails evaluating the water distribution system for the alternative of the City and Zone
7 installing joint groundwater facilities as outlined below:
1. The joint groundwater facilities will be operated by Zone 7. Water would be transported by
Zone 7 through their transmission system and delivered to City at turnouts (i.e., 100% of
water supply delivered through turnouts).
Recommended improvements shall consider the need for additional
turnouts or turnout boosting.
Task 3.0 – Zone 7 Transmission System Workshop
At the beginning of the evaluations, a workshop shall occur with City and Zone 7 staff to
determine the assumed pressure ranges from Zone 7’s transmission system at each turnout for
both existing and future demand conditions. Akel shall conduct the workshop including agenda,
presentation materials, and minutes.
Task 4.0 – Preliminary Results Workshop
Preliminary results of the evaluations shall be presented by Akel in a workshop. Akel shall
conduct the workshop including agenda, presentation materials, and minutes. City feedback from
the workshop shall be incorporated into finalization of the evaluations.
Task 5.0 – Technical Memorandum
Docusign Envelope ID: E67CB798-34D0-4A4E-BFB8-E9718C48E0D9
