Page 4 of 6 <br />• Projects must be included in the 2020 Countywide Transportation Plan project listings <br />(10-year priority, 30-year priority, or Programmatic Projects) <br />• Bike projects must demonstrate a direct benefit to the Countywide Bikeways Network <br />and meet Alameda CTC’s All Ages and Abilities Policy <br />• Projects must demonstrate a public benefit towards enhancing, building, and <br />maintaining the multimodal transportation infrastructure in Alameda County <br />• Projects may include new or upgraded bicycle/pedestrian facilities, bicycle lane striping, <br />designated pedestrian path markings, signage/signals, bicycle parking, street <br />reconfigurations, street closures, and bicycle/pedestrian safety improvements. <br /> <br />The Alameda CTC anticipates announcing funding awards in May 2025. <br /> <br />EQUITY AND SUSTAINABILITY <br />Not applicable, as this item is a routine matter of City business. <br /> <br />OUTREACH <br />No outreach was conducted, as this item is a routine matter of City business. <br /> <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this action advances the ONE Pleasanton strategic goals of Funding Our Future, <br />Strategy 2 - Identity expanded and new revenue sources to address significant infrastructure <br />needs and Investing in Our Environment, Strategy 1 - Implement the four-year CIP to complete <br />design and construction of budgeted capital projects. This action will allow the opportunity for <br />the City to receive significant new grant funding in support of planned capital improvement <br />projects. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />With City Council authorization, staff will submit three 2026 CIP applications from the City to <br />the Alameda CTC requesting: <br />• $2,000,000 for West Las Positas Boulevard Multimodal Reconstruction Project <br />(between Stoneridge Drive and Santa Rita Road), CIP 11514 <br />• $1,875,000 for the I-580 Overcrossing Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements, CIP <br />22570 <br />• $2,000,000 for Santa Rita Road at Valley Avenue Intersection Improvement, CIP 20569 <br /> <br />The minimum request amount for a project is $500,000 and the maximum request is <br />$2,000,000. A 25 percent local match is required for each project phase (design phase and <br />construction phase). Awarded projects will be allocated funds across fiscal years 2025/2026- <br />2029/2030. Below is a breakdown of proposed project funding and allocation years. <br /> <br />Project 1: West Las Positas Boulevard Multimodal Reconstruction Project, CIP No. <br />11514 <br />The total project cost for design and construction of the West Las Positas Boulevard <br />Multimodal Reconstruction Project (Stoneridge Drive to Santa Rita Road) is $6,000,000.
