11 <br /> <br />• Use of tobacco products or devices is prohibited within the facility. No smoking or <br />vaping is allowed within the surrounding park or the parking lot <br />• No selling, using, possessing, giving away, or being under the influence of alcohol <br />or illegal drugs at any times while in the facility <br />• No cell phones, Go Pros, or any other cameras allowed in the water and locker <br />room. Pictures may not be taken at any time inside of the locker rooms <br />• No person shall possess a weapon, air gun, bow and arrows, firecrackers, bombs, <br />torpedoes, rockets or any other type of fireworks or pyrotechnics <br />• No abusive, threatening, obscene, harassing, or insulting language or behavior <br />towards staff or other participants <br />• No engaging in any activity that is disruptive to participants or staff at any time <br />• No engaging in any activity that causes damage to City property or equipment. <br /> <br />LAP SWIM RULES: <br />• Personal coaching is prohibited <br />• Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool without stopping <br />• No diving <br />• Please be courteous and responsive if asked to move lanes by the lifeguards <br />• Lane sharing and circle swimming is required if all lanes are full. If you are unwilling <br />to share when asked, please leave the pool, and return when a lane is vacant <br />o If there are 3 or more people in a lane, everyone in the lane must circle <br />swim counterclockwise <br />o The arriving swimmer should notify the current swimrner(s) in a lane of their <br />presence, by sitting with their legs in the water or standing at the lane until <br />the current swimmer is aware of the arriving swimmer <br />o When resting on a wall, move to the corners of the lane to allow other <br />swimmers room to turn easily <br />o When passing another swimmer, wait until you reach the wall to avoid mid- <br />lane collisions. Tap the foot of the swimmer in front of you to indicate that <br />you wish to pass. The swimmer being passed should wait on the wall for the <br />passing swimmer. <br /> <br />WATERSLIDE RULES: <br />• Patrons must be 48 inches tall, and able to ride the slide by themselves without <br />assistance <br />• Patrons must have beginner level swimming skills <br />• Pregnant women and persons with heart conditions or back trouble should not go <br />down the slide <br />• Food or beverages are not allowed on the slide tower <br />• Eyeglasses must be securely fixed to the patron with a head strap or held in hand <br />• Jewelry or swimwear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets, or metal ornamentation <br />is not permitted <br />• Patrons must wait for the lifeguard's start signal before beginning to go down the <br />slide <br />• Only 1 patron permitted on slide flume at a time <br />• Do not run, dive, stand, kneel, rotate, or stop on the slide.
