City Council Minutes Page 6 of 6 June 4, 2024 <br />16.Receive an Update on the First Year of Implementation of the Five-year Citywide <br />Strategic Plan <br />Recommendation: Receive an Update on the First Year of Implementation of the <br />Five-year Citywide Strategic Plan. <br />Presentation by Alexa, Jeffress, Deputy City Manager. <br />Mayor Brown opened public comment. There being no speakers, Mayor Brown <br />closed the public comment. <br />8.Adopt an Updated Resolution for Access to Augustin Bernal Park through Golden Eagle <br />Estates and Rescind Resolution No. 93-44 <br />Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 2024-041 for access to Augustin Bernal Park <br />through Golden Eagle Estates and rescind Resolution No. 93-44. <br />MOTION: It was m/s by Brown/Testa to adopt the resolution as recommended and to <br />include the following modifications: provide an annual residency pass for youth, add a <br />$10 per week fee for non-resident passes, update the Management Plan section 3(a)(i) <br />to read "Pleasanton School Student Identification Card" and request from Golden Eagle <br />Estates an earlier opening access time of 7:00 a.m. described in section 2(a). <br />Motion passed by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Arkin, Balch, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Brown <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br />Councilmember Balch requested an update by memorandum on the progress of <br />economic development in the city, including city businesses and internal operations <br />such as business permits. The City Manager agreed to provide a future update. <br />Mayor Brown requested, and by majority consensus, the Council agreed to a future <br />discussion to consider changing the start time of regular City Council meetings to <br />begin at 6:00 p.m. <br />COUNCIL REPORTS <br />City Councilmembers reported on regional and local meetings attended. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Mayor Brown adjourned the meeting at 11:00 p.m. <br />______________________ <br />Jocelyn Kwong, City Clerk
