Section 10.4 discusses “Pavement Cutoff” to mitigate surface water penetration into native expansive clay soils which could significantly reduce pavement life. Several alternatives are recommended, all of which must be keyed into pavement subgrade soils at least 4”. One or more of these alternatives shall be incorporated into the pavement design. 79. POTABLE WATER SERVICE. The City purchases potable water wholesale from Zone 7 Water Agency. Fees are due to both the City of Pleasanton and Zone 7 for new connections to the City’s pipe network. Said fee amounts appear in the City’s adopted Master Fee Schedule. For more information about water usage in Pleasanton, refer to Pleasanton Municipal Code Title 14. This property is currently served by an existing 5/8-inch-diameter water meter (Account #3378- 14000-001, Meter #55550473). If this meter will not be utilized as part of the proposed development, the applicant shall contact the City’s Utility Billing Division at 925-931-5500 or osd@cityofpleasantonca.gov to initiate the meter removal process. Removal of said meter will be performed by City staff. Any outstanding water consumption charges must be paid in full prior to the meter removal as well as all fees associated with the disconnection. Fee credits will be offered for the removed meter when new water services are requested. 80. RECYCLED WATER. The City operates a recycled water network for landscape irrigation according to Pleasanton Municipal Code Chapter 14.20. The subject property resides within the recycled water use area and must therefore utilize said water for irrigation purposes upon development. The network extends along the Hopyard Road frontage of the property. Connection fees are shown in the City’s adopted Master Fee Schedule. 81. SANITARY SEWER. The City operates the sanitary sewer pipe network that serves this property. Fees are due to both the City of Pleasanton and Dublin San Ramon Services District upon connection to the pipe network, with credits offered for prior uses. Sewer service in Pleasanton is regulated by Pleasanton Municipal Code Title 15. Capacity in the City’s sanitary sewer network to serve the development must be verified by running a scenario in the City’s network computer model. The computer model is operated by a consultant retained by the City. The consultant will run the scenario and then issue a report with their findings. The applicant shall fund this effort and address any discovered network deficiencies that are directly attributable to the development. Standard Conditions of Approval 82. CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL: These Conditions of Approval shall be depicted on a plan sheet(s) in the submitted plans for construction. (Address this condition prior to plan approval) 83. ENGINEERING DIVISION FEES FOR SERVICE: The Engineering Division assesses fees for services including plan-check, permit issuance, and inspection according to the City’s adopted Master Fee Schedule. These fees are separate and distinct from fees assessed by the Community Development Department (including Planning and Building Division fees). The applicant is responsible for payment of all Engineering Division fees prior to services rendered or permit issuance, whichever is first. (Address this condition prior to plan approval)
