Page 5 of 8 <br />Program Description: <br />Teen Esteem’s school-based programs are prevention-based, providing free mental health <br />resources and appropriate pro-social resources to over 18,000 children and youth annually. <br />Teen Esteem programs bring awareness to relevant issues and help eliminate shame and <br />negative stigma in asking for help by making resources normal for students and engaging <br />them in important conversations that they often cannot get elsewhere. <br /> <br />Staff Comments: <br />The application and all documents were completed and submitted on time. This grant is focused on building on that project, <br />updating the building energy benchmarks, and creating a new report. This would go <br />simultaneously with the development of leadership, environmental, and professional skills for <br />our student leaders. Grant funds will be used for student scholarships. <br /> <br />
