Establish anew Capital Improvement Project— Two New City Wells (Wells 9 & 10 and <br />Associated Pipelines) CIP No. 2417 <br />4. Appropriate $500,000 from the Water Enterprise Fund Balance to the Water Replacement <br />Capital Improvement Program to fund the anticipated Fiscal Year 2023/24 costs for this <br />project. <br /> <br />Interim Director of Public Works, Norm Dorais, and consultants Jenny Gain and Jerry Brown <br />(Brown & Caldwell) presented the item. <br /> <br />The City Council asked questions of staff and the consultants. <br /> <br />Mayor Brown opened public comment. There being no speakers, Mayor Brown closed public <br />comment. <br /> <br />MOTION: It was m/s by Nibert/Balch to approve the item as recommended. Motion passed by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Arkin, Balch, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Brown <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> <br />Mayor Brown recessed the meeting at 8:48 p.m. and reconvened the meeting at 8:55 p.m. <br /> <br />18. Continued from October 3, 2023 – Approve Lions Wayside and Delucchi Parks conceptual plan <br />and approve a professional services agreement with Callander Associates Landscape <br />Architecture, Inc. in the amount of $115,000 to prepare construction documents for the Lions <br />Wayside and Delucchi Parks Project, CIP No. 06716 <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />1. Review the conceptual plan options for Lions Wayside and Delucchi Parks and provide <br />direction on the Council's selected bandstand location, style, and prioritization of Phase 2 <br />park amenities. <br />2. Approve a professional services agreement with Callander Associates Landscape <br />Architecture, Inc. for the not-to-exceed amount of $115,000 for construction documents <br />services for the proposed renovations for the Lions Wayside and Delucchi Parks Project, <br />CIP No. 06716. <br />3. Authorize the City Manager to approve agreements and execute amendments for the project <br />for up to $25,000 for additional design services, if necessary. <br /> <br />Interim Director of Public Works, Norm Dorais, and Landscape Architect, Matt Gruber presented <br />the item. <br /> <br />The City Council asked questions of staff and the City’s consultant, Dave Ruben, with Callander <br />Associates. <br /> <br />Mayor Brown opened public comment. The following individual provided comment: Gerard <br />Rawson, Debbie Ayers, Christine Bourg, and Sharon Piekarski. <br /> <br />The Mayor closed public comment. <br /> <br /> <br />Page 9 of 201
