directly to the groups. Time stamping every day becomes non-efficient. Groups will
receive an email beforehand, and be assured the website will be updated by the
designated time each day in question.

13. Q: AQI: Recommend associating a decision timeline, similar to weather. For
example: reading to occur at 2pm by city. Note that the Air Now monitor is in
Livermore, not Pleasanton and only occurs every 1-2 hours (unless you access
their separate Fire and Smoke section with real-time Pleasanton monitors - we
recommend noting this differentiation). Should AQI adjust for the worse after 2pm,
user groups are responsible for real-time readings and always prioritizing safety.

A: We leave this decision up to the groups. Staff will cancel City programs
according to our internal policies and notify the groups as an informational piece.
In the event the AQI reaches the 200 zone, “Very Unhealthy”, it is likely that all
outdoor activity will be cancelled throughout the Tri Valley. The City reserves the
right to close fields in this situation for safety purposes.

14. Q: We would like to request again that the former policy of there being a Parks and
Rec after hours cell phone to assist with urgent field related issues, be
reinstated. In the last year we have needed assistance 3 times and called the
Pleasanton Police Non-Emergency at (925) 931-5100. They were unable to assist
us with urgent bathroom and light issues that someone from the Parks and Rec
Department would have been able to do. This was streamlined and far more
effective in years past when the Department cell phone was offered.

A: This was not a policy, but rather a practice. Formerly, the Library and
Recreation staff person called out to the other necessary contacts across City
departments where needed. The same practice is currently used City-wide for all
requests and now goes through PD dispatch. Dispatch will answer 24 hours a day
and utilize a City-wide call-out list. The Dispatch model is more efficient across all
needs throughout the City.

15. Q: Trash: In order to effectively manage the section on cleaning up trash after use,
and especially since we regularly find fields filled with trash by community
members, we are again requesting trash bins on each of the 3 Stanford Medicine
Complex Soccer fields. These can be chained to the light posts. Trash from the
community is excessive and not having trash cans inside the fenced-off complex
has a significant impact on the cleanliness of the facility.

A: We will investigate the use of more trash cans and reply as soon as possible.

BUSC Soccer

1. Q: In general, I’d like to see an outlined methodology for how the field allocation is
determined. For example, in the past, we had “traditional sports seasons” for
