FIFTH AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT CITY ATTORNEY <br />This Fifth Amendment to Employment Contract City Attorney (Fifth Amendment) <br />is made and entered into December 19,2023, between the City of Pleasanton and <br />Daniel Sodergren. <br />WHEREAS, Daniel Sodergren has served as Pleasanton's City Attorney since <br />2016 pursuant to an Employment Contract City Attorney dated April 19, 2016, as <br />amended by First (2017), Second (2019), Third (2021), and Founh Q022) Amendments <br />(collectively the Contract); and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council reviewed his performance on December <br />5,2023, considered a salary survey of city attorneys from similar jurisdictions, and <br />reviewed his accomplishments in litigation, advisory and other legal capacities. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in exchange for valuable consideration, the parties agree <br />as follows: <br />A. Section 3. Compensation of the Contract is amended to provide that salary <br />will increase by six percent effective December 19,2023, to $280,476 <br />annually, and then salary will increase four percent effective June 15, 2024, lo <br />$291 ,695 annually. <br />B.
