AMENDED AND RESTATED <br /> EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT <br /> CITY MANAGER <br /> THIS AMENDED AND RESTATED EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT is made on <br /> October 17, 2023, between the City of Pleasanton ("City") and Girard"Gerry" Beaudin <br /> ("Beaudin") concerning the City's employment of Beaudin as the City's City Manager. <br /> RECITALS <br /> A. City and Beaudin entered into an Employment Contract on April 19, 2022, <br /> amended by the First Amendment dated December 20, 2022, and this Amended and Restated <br /> Employment Contract City Manager supersedes that earlier contract and amendment. <br /> B. Beaudin has education, training, and experience in local government management. <br /> C. City desires to employ Beaudin as the City's City Manager. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and conditions in this <br /> Agreement, City and Beaudin agree as follows: <br /> 1. Employment. City shall employ Beaudin as the City Manager of the City of <br /> Pleasanton as provided in this Contract, effective May 23, 2022. <br /> 2. Duties. Beaudin shall perform the duties of the City Manager of the City of <br /> Pleasanton, including administering the day-to-day affairs of the City at City Hall or other City <br /> facilities,and shall perform such other functions as are authorized by the City Council and by <br /> ordinance. <br /> 3. Hours of Work. Beaudin shall be an exempt employee under Fair Labor <br /> Standards Act(FLSA). Beaudin is expected to devote necessary time outside normal office hours <br /> to the business of the City. Beaudin's schedule of work each day and week may vary in response <br /> to the requirements of the work to be performed. Beaudin is expected to be present and available <br /> during regular City business hours and in case of emergencies at Pleasanton City Hall or other <br /> City facilities to perform his duties. <br /> 4. Compensation. The salary for Beaudin shall be increased by 6.25%to $26,031 <br /> per month effective September 1, 2023, then increased by 6.25%to $27,658 per month effective <br /> February 1, 2024. Annually, on or around August, the City Council shall review Beaudin's <br /> performance to consider, among other things, entitlement to any salary increase based on merit, <br /> cost of living increases provided to Management and Confidential employees, and interest in <br />
