Scope of Work <br /> Preparation of Plans,Specifications and Estimates <br /> Sunol Boulevard/I-680 Improvements Project <br /> August 21,2023 <br /> • Primary Survey controls (Caltrans) <br /> • Log of Test Borings, Foundation Reports, Foundation Reviews, and field records <br /> of pile driving logs for the construction of existing structures. <br /> Mappine/Survey <br /> • Field survey will be completed during the design phase. <br /> • Construction surveys <br /> Units <br /> • All project deliverables will be prepared in English units. <br /> Traffic Studies <br /> • Approved TOAR from the PA&ED phase will be used as reference and no <br /> additional traffic count and analysis is included in the scope of work for the <br /> permanent features/project. <br /> • Additional traffic counts and analysis for temporary detours and lane closure <br /> charts are not included in the scope. <br /> Geotechnical <br /> • No Fault Study or fault trenching is required. <br /> • No seismic retrofit analysis required. <br /> • Caltrans will provide encroachment permits and waive all fees for field work <br /> within State right-of-way. Access permits to private properties will also be <br /> provided by the City. <br /> • Analytical testing to characterize investigation derived waste (IDW) is included <br /> with this cost proposal. If test results indicate the IDW cannot be disposed of at a <br /> nearby Class 2 landfill, then further testing beyond the scope of work for this <br /> project may be required. Disposal of IDW characterized as hazardous is also <br /> beyond the scope of work. <br /> • Geotechnical work within hazardous levels of contamination is beyond the scope <br /> of work for this Project. <br /> • Night drilling between 10 PM and 5 AM are required for exploration. COZEEP <br /> will be required for closure on ramps; AECOM to arrange for the City to contract <br /> with CHP. The City will be responsible for off-duty officer associated costs. Up <br /> to 2 nights of COZEEP ($2000/night) is anticipated. <br /> Hazardous Materials <br /> • Caltrans, or the City will sign the hazardous waste manifests required for off-site <br /> soil disposal for contaminated generated from their respective right-of-way or <br /> property. <br /> • Right of Way Hazardous Test Reports is not required for Section 83, the City land <br /> transfer to State, or State land transfer to the City. <br /> Page 40 of 42 <br />
