Scope of Work <br /> Preparation of Plans,Specifications and Estimates <br /> Sunol Boulevard/I-680 Improvements Project <br /> August 21,2023 <br /> • Bridge Design Memos <br /> • Structures Technical Policies <br /> • Seismic Design Criteria Version 2.0 <br /> • Caltrans 2022 Standard Plans <br /> • Caltrans 2022 Standard Specifications <br /> • Caltrans PS&E Guide <br /> Contract bid item list with quantities and unit prices updated from the Type <br /> Selection Report will be developed. A copy of the complete 65% PS&E package <br /> will be submitted for review and comment from the City, Caltrans and other <br /> reviewing agencies. <br /> 3.5.3 Utility Relocation/Occupation Plans <br /> AECOM will coordinate and follow up with the utility companies including <br /> providing the approximate relocation alignments and the project design input to <br /> utility companies which are affected by the Project. The respective owners will <br /> develop the design and conduct the respective relocation. AECOM will prepare <br /> utility plans by incorporating the utility owner's relocation plans for these public <br /> utilities affected by the project. <br /> Task 3.6 Specifications and Special Provisions <br /> AECOM will prepare Special Provisions as follows: <br /> • AECOM will review Caltrans' Standard Specifications dated 2022 or latest <br /> edition, and Caltrans' Standard Special Provisions (SSP) applicable thereto. <br /> • For work items necessary for construction of the Project, AECOM will <br /> assemble data and prepare drafts of (1) necessary edits to the SSP, and (2) <br /> modifications to the SSP or additional nonstandard specifications (NSSP) <br /> which may be necessary. <br /> • The City will prepare and provide the "boiler plate" special provisions. <br /> • AECOM will submit and work with Caltrans to gain approval of nonstandard <br /> special provisions, if any. <br /> • Upon completion of the foregoing activities, AECOM will submit the SSP <br /> signature and seal sheet. <br /> • AECOM will coordinate specifications with other design consultants to assist <br /> design interface activities. SSP will be submitted in MS Word format. <br /> Task 3.7 Update Design Reports <br /> AECOM will update and submit the design reports that were not approved previously <br /> under Task 2.6. The updates will incorporate all the agreed upon comments from the <br /> City, Caltrans and other agencies. <br /> Task 3.8 Quantities and Cost Estimate <br /> AECOM will develop the estimate of Construction Quantities and Cost Estimates. <br /> This will include back-up calculations.
