Scope of Work
Preparation of Plans,Specifications and Estimates
Sunol Boulevard/I-680 Improvements Project
August 21,2023
The drainage report prepared by AECOM will include the following:
• Evaluation of the existing conditions
• Unusual and special conditions
• Drainage mapping
• Hydraulic analysis
• Proposed systems
Task 2.10 Storm Water Data Report
AECOM will prepare a 65% PS&E-level Storm Water Data Report summarizing the
Project impacts to water quality, general mitigation measures, and recommended Best
Management Practices (BMPs) consistent with current Caltrans requirements for PS&E
phase. The study will address the impacts from roadway improvements, utilizing Caltrans
standard checklists. The report will also address the need for erosion control measures
and document the decision-making process relating to the implementation of Treatment
BMP's within the project limits. This will include risk assessment to determine the
combined sediment and receiving water risk.
Under this task, AECOM will prepare a conceptual stormwater pollution prevention plan
(CSWPPP) for Caltrans and the City's review and approval.
Task 2.11 Hazardous Materials Test Report
AECOM will prepare a Hazardous Materials Test Report to evaluate potential
contaminants of concern in soil, groundwater, and building materials. Hazardous
Materials Test Report in accordance with Caltrans guidelines. AECOM will Prepare work
plan for City's/Caltrans' review and approval. Perform borings, to collect soil samples for
initial hazardous waste testing and groundwater samples. Soil and/or groundwater found
to have environmental contaminants will be properly characterized and disposed of at an
appropriate facility, in accordance with applicable regulations. A Draft and Final report
will be prepared.
2.12 Foundation Reports/LOTBs
AECOM will prepare and submit separate Foundation Reports for each structure (bridge
and non-standard plan walls)which have been prepared and signed by an Engineering
Geologist or Geotechnical Engineer, with deep foundation experience, registered in
California. The Foundation Reports will be prepared in accordance with Caltrans'
Guidelines for Foundation Investigations and Reports. This is the list of the reports to be
prepared:
• Two PFRs (one for the bridge widen and one for all proposed retaining
walls)
• Six draft FRs and final (one for the bridge widen and one for each of the
proposed retaining walls)
• Respond to up to two rounds of geotechnical review comments
Page 16 of 42
