Scope of Work <br /> Preparation of Plans,Specifications and Estimates <br /> Sunol Boulevard/I-680 Improvements Project <br /> August 21,2023 <br /> AECOM and/or their Subconsultant will prepare and submit with the following Design <br /> Reports, as indicated: <br /> Task 2.7 Lane Closure Report <br /> AECOM will contact the City and Caltrans staff to obtain the most current 7-day 24-hour <br /> traffic counts to prepare the lane closures. The traffic data request will include the <br /> following locations as specified below: <br /> ➢ I-680 SB on ramp at Sunol Boulevard <br /> ➢ I-680 mainline between Niles Canyon Rd and Bernal Avenue <br /> ➢ Sunol Boulevard between Foothill Road and Arlington Drive <br /> ➢ Pleasanton Sunol Road between Paloma Way and Castlewood Drive <br /> ➢ I-680 NB off ramp at Sunol Boulevard <br /> ➢ I-680 SB off ramp <br /> The lane closure report (LCR) is anticipated to require analysis of the following <br /> ramps and local streets: <br /> ➢ Full Closure of I-680 SB on ramp <br /> ➢ Partial Closure of Sunol Boulevard between Arlington Drive and <br /> Castlewood Drive <br /> ➢ Full Closure of 1-680 NB off ramp <br /> AECOM will identify temporary detour routes, perform detour route capacity <br /> analysis and delay calculations for calculating Late Lane Pick-Up and Road User <br /> Cost (RUC). AECOM team will prepare and submit the LCR to Caltrans for <br /> review and comment. <br /> AECOM will prepare the Lane Closure Charts for 65%, 95% and final Submittal. <br /> Task 2.8 Traffic Management Plan <br /> AECOM will prepare a Transportation Management Plan (TMP) in accordance with <br /> Caltrans current requirements. The TMP is a specialized program tailored to prevent and <br /> mitigate the impacts of a construction project by applying a variety of techniques <br /> including Motorist Information, Incident Management, Construction Strategies, and <br /> Public Information Strategies. The major objectives of the TMP are to maintain efficient <br /> and safe movement of vehicles through the construction zone; and to provide intensive <br /> public awareness of potential impacts in the vicinity of the project site. Detour routes will <br /> also be identified and included in the TMP report. <br /> Task 2.9 Drainage Report <br /> AECOM will review the available data and prepare design calculations to assess the <br /> capacity of the existing drainage systems. The Drainage Report will include design <br /> calculations to assess the need for drainage improvements. The results and design <br /> recommendations will be summarized in the Drainage Report. <br /> Page 15 of 42 <br />
