Woodard & Curran TASK 3—FINAL ENGINEERING The final design task includes preparation of the 90%and 100%submittals.Throughout final design, Woodard&Curran will continue to regularly meet with City personnel to discuss the project and integrate any responses into the next project milestone.The 90%submittal will be a substantially complete and biddable construction set,pending City comments.The 100%design submittal will be a biddable, buildable design submittal for final City approval. The Final Design,will include the following tasks: Task 3.1—60%Submittal The 60%Submittal will summarize the following: • Executive summary including key project decisions made • Introduction and background • Utility investigations summary • Surveying work will include aerials for the pipeline alignment and topographic survey for the existing turnout area. • Recommend preferred method and alignment for pipeline design • Hydraulic analysis and calculations • Preliminary electrical work will include load calculations,short circuit calculations, and single line diagram for the new turnout and pump station. • Summary of geotechnical exploration,including design recommendations and boring logs • Construction approach and phasing of construction • Preliminary design drawings(60%design)and technical specification list. • Preliminary cost estimating Task 3.2—90%Submittal The 90%Submittal will include a full set of drawings and technical specifications for the project.The drawings and specifications list are both shown in the Approach section,which are complete and ready for City review.Constructability reviews will be performed at the 90%deliverable phase.A memorandum will be provided documenting that a constructability review has been completed and summarizing recommended adjustments to the design. Task 3.3—100%Submittal(Bid Set) Final 100%bid documents will include finished,checked,and completed plans and specifications.The 100%submittal will also include submittal of relevant final databases,reports,construction schedules, cost estimates,utility coordination and other project documentation. Task 3.4—Subconsultants We have included the following subconsultants for this project: • Survey by Guida Surveying(proposal received) • Geotech by City On-Call Company(allowance) • Transient Analysis by Foster Engineering(allowance) 5
